  1. From 31st October 2007, Pipex Internet Limited ("Pipex") is offering new customers who sign up for our Mini, Midi, Max or Pro broadband service, the ability to trial the service for 30 days, with a refund of the basic charge and connection fee, if the customer is not satisfied with the service.
  2. These are the terms and conditions that apply to the trial.
  3. When you agree to take one of the Mini, Midi, Max or Pro broadband packages from Pipex, you agree to be bound to a contract which has a minimum term of 12 months. An early termination fee is payable if you terminate that contract before the expiry of 12 months. The requirement to pay that fee is set out in our standard terms and conditions which are available at:

  4. However, if you have signed up to Mini, Midi, Max or Pro on or after 31st October 2007, and you are not satisfied with the service, let us know no later than 30 days after your broadband go live date that you would like to terminate the agreement and:
    • we will not charge you the normal early termination fee;
    • we will refund the first month’s broadband charge that you have paid;
    • we will refund the broadband connection fee that you have paid.
  5. The trial period only relates to the Mini, Midi, Max or Pro broadband services. It does not apply to any telephone call plan. We will not refund to you the charges for any additional downloads or other services.
  6. IMPORTANT: If you decide to terminate the agreement during the trial period, you MUST contact our customer service centre by telephone and let them know. Their telephone number is 0871 222 5550. The date on which we receive a termination request call is the date on which you are taken to have given notice of termination.
  7. If we do not receive your termination request call until after the trial period ends (i.e. 30 days from your broadband go-live date), you will be subject to the provisions of our 12 month minimum term contract and will be required to pay the early termination fee if you proceed to terminate the agreement.
  8. If you terminate the agreement (during or after the trial period), it is your responsibility to contact your replacement service provider and to make arrangements for a replacement service from them. We shall continue to provide you with the relevant service(s) you are transferring during your period of transfer, however, you will be charged by us for any days beyond the 30 day period, that your service remains with us, until it is transferred or terminated. You will be charged a pro-rata amount based on the price of your broadband plan.
  9. This broadband trial offer only applies once in every 12 months for each telephone number. If you or anyone using the same telephone number as you, have taken advantage of the trial and have opted to terminate the agreement for Pipex broadband services during the trial period and you, within the next 12 months, enter another broadband contract with Pipex, that contract will not be subject to a trial period.
  10. Your use of our services up to the date that you disconnect from Pipex is subject to:
    • payment of all applicable charges for your use of our services, including the connection charge
    • these terms and conditions; and
    • Pipex's standard terms and conditions.
  11. Your application to receive the Pipex services is subject to status and acceptance.
  12. From the date your broadband goes live, the ordinary charges applicable will be effective. You will also be charged and must pay for all calls that you make outside of the inclusive calls that you may be permitted to make under your call plan and any other Pipex services or calling features that you wish to take from Pipex.
  13. We will be entitled to disconnect you from the our services if you at any time or in any way breach these terms and conditions or our standard terms and conditions or if you do not pay any amounts to Pipex in respect of your Pipex account when they are due, including without limitation your broadband charges, telephone line rental, any additional call charges and any other Pipex services or calling features that you may take from Pipex from time to time.
  14. Pipex reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time and / or to extend or withdraw the period of availability of the trial to new customers at any time by notice posted on our website.
  15. By registering for and commencing your use of our services, you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and the Pipex standard terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict, the Pipex standard terms and conditions will take precedence over these terms and conditions.
